Guide Dogs Christmas Graduation

December 8, 2015 @ 11:00 am - 2:00 pm

Free

This Christmas Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is bringing a very special event to the city. The Guide Dogs Christmas Graduation, held in Martin Place, will be the best live event you will have seen all year.

Normally held behind closed doors, this year, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT will be holding this one-off public event in the city for everyone to enjoy.

The graduation ceremony will celebrate the training achievements of some amazing dogs. Each dog graduating on the day will have spent two years in intensive training, working tirelessly with their Trainer towards this very special occasion.

It will have cost over $35,000 to breed, raise and train each graduate and as this process is funded entirely by the generosity of the public, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT wanted to celebrate this special occasion with you as a way to acknowledge and say thank you for this vital ongoing support.

On the day you will also get to see a live Guide Dog demonstration where you will learn some of the techniques that Guide Dogs NSW/ACT employs to train these life-changing dogs.

Over lunch you will also get to experience a puppy pre-school with some up and coming trainees and have some one-on-one time with a gorgeous Guide Dog puppy.

If you are in town and looking to do some Christmas shopping, Guide Dogs will also have some fantastic gifts for family and friends for you to buy. They might even have something for your four-legged friend as well!

Visit the Guide Dogs website for more information or stay up to date with all Guide Dogs’ news on their Facebook page.
